NsUpkeep (Nameserver Upkeep) is a small executable that will enforce DNS server settings with the help of a scheduled task that will keep them updated every 5 minutes. It was created for basic users (such as my kids) to have a safer online experience when used with a good DNS filtering service. It also works between all networks (home, school, work, trips, etc) they may be on. On the flip side, it also protects against DNS hijacking.
Installation (elevated CMD):
nsupkeep.exe --start-on-boot 22.214.171.124 126.96.36.199
Norton ConnectSafe, OpenDNS Family Shield, etc. are good services to use to prevent traffic to malware-, porn- and other potentially unwanted Internet sites. OpenDNS lets you configure your own sites and useful customization with their free Home solution.
