I made this primarily in the interest of my shooting hobby, to calculate the kinetic energy of different projectiles.
I used this formula to calculate kinetic energy, with automatic unit conversion: KE = 1/2mv² (Kinetic Energy = 0.5 * mass in kg * (meters per second ^ 2)).
Energy is not always easy to handle.
NOTE: Pound-Foot (lb-ft) and Foot-Pound (ft-lb), are NOT interchangeable / NOT the same!
The "POUND-FOOT" (lb-ft) (TORQUE/lever-energy) is a unit of torque and a vector measurement that is created by: ONE POUND OF FORCE ACTING ON A ONE FOOT LEVER.
The "FOOT-POUND" (ft-lb) (ENERGY/linear-energy) is a scalar unit and measurement of work required to: MOVE A ONE POUND OBJECT, ONE FOOT OF LINEAR DISTANCE.
